What a wonderful salvation

We in Christ by faith embrace,

He´s our evergreen foundation

With the springtime´s smiling face,

All the gloomy shadows scare me,

but He never lets us down,

any storm, nay come what might be

doesn´t make my Savior frown!

Is your life thus full of trials,

where no headway you may make,

oh, the cross of self-denials,

let it you in stillness break,

God may make you mute and quiet

like the prophets in the land,

this may be for you His diet,

while for Israel´s God you stand!  (1 Kings 17:1)

So be patient and be waiting

soon your tongue is no more mute  (Ez. 3:26)

not for words of vain debating

but for rebels to refute,

while the gospel you´re proclaiming,

now it´s still God´s time of grace,

may our souls now be aflaming

with His smile upon our face!
