Blessed Spirit, Oh my Helper,

Faithful in my present need,

You´re always Christ uplifting

While You step by step me lead,

You have fresh and living water

When I find myself athirst,

./. Nay, You always sought and found me

When my circumstance was worst! ./.

Thou triune and holy Godhead,

In the dust I worship Thee

Through the merits of my Savior

All Thy love is shown to me,

I this wonder cannot fathom,

But it brings my soul abase,

./. What to say I cannot tell you,

Though I know it´s all His grace! ./.

Lo, ahead me shines His glory

As I soon will leave this scene,

When He to His presence takes me

To His Eden calm and green,

Here I knew its hidden pastures,

But one day I´ll see with awe

./. That the many earthly shadows

Will not fret me anymore! ./.
