I´m getting old to say the truth, But still my heart is young, It does belong to age and youth Of which may sing my tongue! The children are my favorite “church”, On them my youth does feed, So theological research With them I do not need! The wind is blowing at its will Towards young as well as old, To souls who´re stout as well as ill, God´s grace is manifold! I sometimes find myself with those Who are to wheel chairs chained, To them my heart with love feels close, God´s love them entertained! Farewell I bid you, faded world, With all your vain deceit, But with the life in Christ unfurled The young and old I greet! Dec. 27, 2021 - jn
