O, His birth had no worth
to the kings on this earth,
Jesus there in a manger of straw
Heaven´s angels Him quietly saw,
./. shepherds were worshiping too! ./.

From the East to that feast
wise men came whose journey ceased,
when they found in a cottage that prince
that would quickly the Persians convince,
./. God in that baby was there!  ./.

May we bow for Him now
God Himself will teach us how,
with the riches from Persia they paid
for the time Christ in Egypt soon stayed,
./. we too Him welcome this Eve!  ./.
