Anguish that in you may aflame
is what God´s friends has always got,
don´t crave for any worldly fame
as you in Christ have a better lot!

Don´t side with false religious game,
who is at ease on Zion´s mount  (Amos 6:1)
while all their creed is just a name
which in eternity will not count!

With Jeremiah rather side  (Jer. 15:17)
as he for God sat there alone,
with Him he could his grief confide
and make his sore indignation known!

Joy in the Lord but mixed with pain
these are the twins that will be there
watered though with revival rain
as Heaven´s answer to earnest prayer!

Over is soon our time on earth,
soon this frail clay goes to its grave,
still, what for God has precious worth
are the lost souls that He wants to save!
