Tune:  Stand up, stand up for Jesus...

Do count it such an honor
ambassador to be
for Him the King in glory,
for Christ who set us free,
His gospel is our charter,
our glory is His cross,
and what was dear and precious
we´ve learnt to see as loss!

When you confess your Savior,
He does confess your name
before His heav´nly Father,
so Jesus do proclaim!
Don´t crave for stagey platforms,
a desert road will do  (Act 8:26),
a soul may there be waiting
for gospel news from you!

We´ll not be here much longer,
oh, how we feel it´s true,
to be with Christ is better,
but still we´ve work to do,
for gospel fruit may happen
with angels´ joy up there,
when sinners are responding
to what you with them share!

Christ preached for "common people"  (Mk. 12:37),
and so it is today,
for at the lowly places
they hear what you may say,
but say it very simple,
be never too profound,
His love, oh say it often,
with passion let is sound!
