Tune:  What a Friend We Have in Jesus…

What a wonderful Redeemer
we all have in Christ, our Lord,
soon is speechless each blasphemer
who against God´s Son has roared!
Do not stop your testifying
of the wonder He has done,
He our souls is satisfying,
He in our hearts has shone!  (2 Cor. 4:6)

Though we find the end times scaring
with their lusts and selfish love  (2 Tim. 3:2),
yet God´s armor we are wearing
with His power from above,
ready for the gospel´s battle
with our self-life crucified,
counted as the slaughtered cattle,
yet to Christ in triumph tied!

We don´t last on earth much longer,
we up yonder soon will go
to the One who is much stronger
than each angry, hateful foe!
All the heavens will be praising
Him whose blood has brought us there,
His redeemed will then be raising
voices that His work declare!
