I do take refuge in the storm beneath His shelt´ring wings, my enemies around me swarm, my soul to Christ, though, clings!
I sense the hiss and roar of men that twist my words with scorn, God gave me still a writer´s pen (Ps. 45:1) the godless world to warn!
We do not fight with flesh and blood, the prince up in the air, (Eph. 2:2) may like a mighty, rushing flood attempt our souls to scare!
So in the name of Christ, our Lord, His foes we do defy on gospel grounds and with His sword (Eph. 6::17) which to our loins we tie!
On our foreheads, though concealed, He put His seal and mark, to us, His babes, He has revealed (Matth. 11:25) His light right in the dark!
