Another sudden heart attack took me with a "noisy" and well equipped ambulance to the hospital last Tuesday to have my too fast beating heart stabilized.

On this coming Tuesday a "stent" and a pacemaker will be installed, and then I´ll hopefully be fit for fight again after a week´s useful break.

I was temporarily knocked out all right, but - by His grace - not defeated, and Phil. 1:20 was one of the words that became very real to me.

Paul´s words are also my words "I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel" (Phil. 1:20) - though here on a far smaller scale.  And yet "it has become known" (v. 13) to my nursing surroundings and my co-patients that it all happened in Christ and for His gospel and with new powerful witnessing opportunities.

The hospital has also become a "boot camp" experience, an earthly "purgatory" if you will, for self-judgment (1 Cor. 11:31, 1 Pet.
4:17), "putting away every weight and sin which clings so easily" (Hebr. 12:1) in order for us to run the race without too many spiritual heart attacks.

May this passionate pursuit follow you and me for the advance of the good news.  I miss our Iranian friends plus others in this gospel ministry.

Let us not lose heart, and let´s talk about Jesus as long as we still have breath.  We can´t do it when we pass away, for up yonder the witnessing will be replaced by non-stop praising.

For His cause,
Your co-laborer for the gospel,
Jørn., - "doulos Cristou".
