The Hopes of Tomorrow
Tomorrow´s hopes are full of light,
if Christ their sources are!
While all the world is gloomy night,
He is my Morning Star!

The hopes without God´s Christ are vain,
they just like bubbles burst,
that leave the souls in wailing pain
and never quench their thirst!

The world in crisis is wrapped up
and plays its futile game,
but I lift His salvation´s cup *)
invoking His good name!

The gospel is the sinner´s plea,
Christ is its saving pow´r,
to each repentant He will be
the answer of the hour!

I live and breathe in Christ alone,
the scepter staff has He,
as King and Ruler on His throne
I Him already see!
