“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people!”  (Prov. 14:34)

Osama bin Laden was killed during a 40 minutes fire fight, the whole world was told.  It was later admitted that Osama was unarmed, but he did oppose the soldiers,  who then killed him.  So the story now goes. Isn´t the truth rather that the soldiers had been ordered to kill him anyway, as it was not in the interest of America to put him on trial?  Why not?  Other war criminals in recent times were and are being tried, why not Osama? 
The full truth may never be told.  America is a military superpower with a superpower´s right to tell stories.  But is it deteriorating morally as a constitutional state?  No, the loud answer is, but…  But what?  Well, with Osama it was different.  He was in a class by himself.  So why bother about a trial?  Just see how the public gloats over his death, and you´ll understand the justice of the masses.  Even Christian people give vent to their glee and some even poke fun at Osama´s damnation in hell.


“The constitution is the supreme law of our land and it governs our actions as citizens.  Only the laws of God, which govern our consciences, are superior to it” , Gerald Ford, 38th U.S. president declared in 1974.  May that great nation still have its men and women who swim against the tide and stand up for the constitution once founded by godly men and humbly side with George Washington who said, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.”


To scorn God and His righteousness and replace it with the primitive instincts of hatred and revenge will be the death of any nation despite its military power. We believe in bringing criminals to justice by His righteous laws, and as Christians we are at the same time in a gospel warfare for Jesus Christ and in the power of His Spirit.
