The grain that in the ground must die,
should not be pitied, friend,
for it with fruit will multiply,
since death is not its end!
This dying does to us apply,
however we are slow
to realize that we must die
and daily be brought low
Your feelings may be sorely hurt
and almost torn apart,
mount up your wings then like the bird,
and fill with praise your heart!
The grain of wheat is you and me,
and what looks like a loss
unties your soul and sets you free,
the secret is the cross!
The law of life in Christ is just
the cross by faith applied,
when nothing in us we can trust,
Christ will be glorified!
His manifested life will be
your Easter day by day,
but from the cross of Calvary
we never get away!
