We´re yearning for revival dawn,
awakenings of old have gone,
Lord, give us resurrection pow´r
with clouds of Thy refreshing shower!

Without revival we will die,
and so we for Thy mercy cry,
pour forth anew Thy Holy Ghost
convicting souls from coast to coast!

The atheists may mock and scorn,
they hatefully at God have sworn,
futility and emptiness
are what their darkened thoughts express!　 *)

By our power or by might
we can´t the prince of darkness smite,
the church just fresh anointing needs
that supersedes old forms and creeds!

Lord, as we bow our heart and knee
in deep humility for Thee
to break up our fallow ground, **)
let rain on thirsty ground abound!
