Spring Gladness

The spring may not be far away
despite the winter cold
with icy winds that hold their sway,
nay, howling manifold!

Our great Creator of the sun
controls the winter too,
in frost and sunshine He´s the One
who always sees us through!

For any season God gives grace,
and grace is what we need,
no matter what may be your case,
your walk and steps He´ll lead!

The winter cannot chill the spring,
it´s blooming in your heart,
the smiling face of Israel´s King
does not from you depart!

God´s springtime is already here,
the winter time is past *)
for in the heav´nly blessings´ sphere,
His sunny day will last!

Put on your strength with all your drive,
with oil of gladness, too,　 **)
for Christ again will us revive
with spring and morning dew!
