No, I´m not talking about the success of your cheerful “Tea Party” (or tea parties) nor the humiliating defeat of the Democrats  - you look far beyond that, don´t you?  For you´ve chosen to be on the Lord´s side, on the winning side in a winning battle in the strength of the Lord on a high spiritual level.  Eph.6:12.

This was the word that “came” to me amidst all the election excitement:  “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?”  The answer was:  “No, neither!”  (Danish rendering, Jos. 5:13-14).

Billy Graham prayed in The White House before the war against Iraq started that we may be on God´s side.  I liked that

To side with the Lord Jesus Christ and trust Him is really the secret of victory and true winner joy.

To trust man is equivalent to defeat and that makes us miserable in “parched places”  (Jer. 17:6).

In Jesus Christ we´re always “planted by water” (Jer. 17:8) making us His channels in this desert.

So congratulations, “for more than conquerors you are through Him who loved us” Rom. 8:37.
