Your lonely pilgrimage, dear soul,
Will take you on that path
Of Bible truths complete and whole,
They´re like a cleansing bath (Eph. 5:26).

The Bible is no manual book
To gratify your head,
It is a still, life-giving brook
And also living bread.

You may be lost and see no way,
God´s word the change can make,
Your night will be the brightest day,
Just wait and courage take.

As at the early break of day
The morning drinks the dew,
Drink in God´s word, my friend, and pray,
It will your soul renew.

With strength afresh then meet the day,
While gladly you proclaim
Christ as the only saving way,
As Lord we praise His name!
