The Tsunami waves in our time have taken the lives by the hundreds of thousands.  The Tsunami wave of sin now rushing over Denmark will take millions into a lost eternity.  Strangely enough, the massive demand for same sex marriages in our national church has suddenly made the indifferent population pro church and pro religion as long as it provides for church weddings of homosexuals. “Our Lord is interested in people who love each other”, the pro gay bishop in Copenhagen declares backed up by Christ denying members.

Isa. 59:19 says, ”When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” (KJ version).  This must mean, praise God, that there is an answer to the satanic Tsunami floods of wickedness despite the fact that Christendom is silent or even approves of the abomination of homosexuality, the ”romance” of which has crept into our national (Lutheran) church as well as some free and independent churches (Sweden).  Pastors may sanctimoniously preach on ”the text for the day” Sunday after Sunday, but in reality they have little to say.

However, the prophetic word doesn´t only speak of an evil flood of Satan attacking us, but it also speak of an even mightier power, the Spirit of the Lord, working in and through us.  I don´t think we should waste our time and energy by the boring political debates of our day (here I´m in danger myself I must humbly admit!), but as disciples of Christ our responsibility is first and foremost to be empowered with the Spirit of the Lord.   “Be filled with the Spirit” is a command, not a casual suggestion.  It is our obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ that is at stake, nothing else.

Things won´t be better when we again, shortly,  visit Ca. where the gay people seem to have found a strong foothold, but same sex marriages seem to have become more and more a national cause over there like in Denmark.  Only a Nineveh-awakening can save the U.S. from spiritual destruction, Billy Graham in his younger days warned.  This is true of my country also.

The Spirit filled believer will not be intimidated, but will boldly lift up the royal standard of the gospel.  There will be confrontations.  They are already there in our closets of prayer in our battle against “against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”. (Eph. 6:12).  We are soldiers, not entertainers nor frivolous party people.  The enemy forces his way.  So does the Spirit of Christ in the lives of His obedient disciples.
