No good I have apart from You,
My rock and resting place,
Your blessed presence I pursue
With bold, uplifted face!

On fickle men I can´t depend,
They are but broken reeds,
My soul I to the Lord commend,
The answer of my needs!

At times my path is like the night
And hidden is His face,
But still His daybreak dawns with light,
With sunny rays of grace!

A vineyard gave He me to keep,
Sweet grapes it will produce,
Which our Lord with joy shall reap
Just for His holy use!

Apart from Christ I have no good
He taught me in my youth,
His gospel is my daily food,
O, what a blessed truth!
