“For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
and floods on the dry ground.” Isa. 44:3

“We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus”
(John Adams, USA´s 2. præsident)

Tune:  Bless God from whom all blessings flow….

We humbly bow before Thee low,
From whom alone fresh blessings flow,
Our panting thirst we bring to Thee
As to Thy Throne of Grace we flee!

Religion surely will not do,
It never will us carry through,
Of all deceit may Thou us strip,
As our hearts anew Thou grip!

Oh, may Thy fire in us burn,
For  words with holy pow´r  we yearn,
So sinners will conviction feel
And at the cross of Jesus kneel!

God´s judgment must with us begin *),
If we this holy war shall win,
The church must for her sins lament,
Before the unsaved will repent!

On Christ our nation once was built,
Who else can take away our guilt?
His cross we must again proclaim
Against our nation´s sin and shame!

His blessings on our desert ground
Will on the thirsty soul abound,
As He His Spirit will pour down
While Jesus Christ as King we crown!

*) 1 Pet. 4:17
