Was it Trump or Biden? No, neither, but God did.  He´s the Winner.

Isn´t it about time to think of Him as the true Winner in days and ages to come where every knee will bow and every tongue will confess the “Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father”.  Phil. 2:11.

One day the two hotspurs will no more be slinging mud at each other, but instead bow abased before the Lord confessing their sins.

I was once visiting the Epcot Center in Fl. -  that amazing exhibition of human achievement where each nation had its own stand.  I was awed.  The U.S. had their beautiful stand too of course, and some of its history was well presented by a wonderful team whose enthusiasm I´ll not forget.   I wish I had their beautiful presentation on paper now.

They talked about the early birth of the nation abt. 244 years ago.  It was said that at one time the “nation´s fathers” buried their disagreements and bowed in prayer acknowledging the true Sovereign of the nation.  I don´t know the details of the story, but I would be happy to have it sent to me. God became the Winner. I left Epcot in high spirits.

Joe Biden and Donald Trump both confess to be believers, and on the day of the president´s solemn inauguration, a couple of key ministers say their public prayers (carefully prepared) in the presence of God – or is it rather in the approvingly presence of the people?

Oh, America needs a third awakening which I remember George W. Bush called for in one of his speeches as president.  We can´t do a better favor to ourselves and to each other than already now confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ before God and men enlightened by His saving gospel.  For it´s really the gospel that is at stake!  - Oct. 23, 2020 - jn
