”Lift up your heads, o gates, and lift them up, o everlasting doors, that the King of glory may come in!  Who is this King of glory?  The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory!”  (Ps. 24:9-10)

What became of the crucified Jesus hardly recognized, with “no beauty,  no majesty to draw our eyes…”  (Isa. 53:2)?

O, look at Him now as “the King of glory” for whom all the gates of the universe open up with voices of awe inquiring “Who is He?” and the resounding cheers shout with joy, “The King of glory, the Lord of hosts!”

There He is, once without” the likeness of man”  (Isa. 53:2), but now in the array of glory as “the King eternal with glory forever, immortal, invisible, the only God with glory forever and ever”  (1 Tim. 1:17).

My sins are on Him no more. they were taken care of at the cross and sank “into the depths of the sea” (Mic.  7:19) where no fishing is allowed.  Now He is full of glory,  with His smile of greeting to His blood bought disciples  and His “Rejoice!”  (Mt. 28:9).  This is how He wants to be.

He even came up to those burdened with doubt (Mt. 28:18).  In Danish it says, “He stepped forward to them” instead of turning His back on them.

I was at one time very much “down” in my ministry and saw no way out, but a godly sister said to me, “Now you need a fresh encounter with the Lord of glory”, and it pleased Him to give me such a glimpse of Him.  Not only at that particular time, but, mind you again and again.

Yes, for “who is this King?”  Ask the myriads of angels or the “assembly of the first-born enrolled in heaven and now made perfect” (Hebr. 12:23), and their answer will be, “It´s Christ, the glorified, King of kings and Lord of lords for “Worthy are Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power…”  (Rev. 4:11).   Let us crown Him anew as our King!
