”We are ambassadors for Christ!”  2 Cor. 5:20.

Sometimes my American friends would put questions to me about the anti-American attitude of Europe.  Now this is more a political than a spiritual question. Spiritually Europe is not only anti-American, it is anti-God.  My Christian countrymen can confirm that.  Our media are permeated with the spirit of Psa. 2:1-3.

If we as Christians try to clear up the political and religious mess,  our attempts are already doomed as a futile job, and we´re just kidding ourselves.  You may as well try to separate the egg yolk from the egg white in a whipped egg!

Our call is neither about political nor religious matters.  Our call is to follow Christ and as His ambassadors attend to His interests, i.e. the interests of the gospel.  We are not called upon to make this poor world better.  Our job is through the preaching of the gospel to see souls saved ”from this  perverse generation.”  Acts 2:40.

I´m not raising fingers against anybody. I´m sharing with you what I´ve been exercised about these days.  If my errand were a political one only, this country over here would be too big and scaring.  However as an evangelical ambassador I shall “not fear the people of the land, for they shall be our prey!”  (Num. 14:9).

Oh what a high calling it is to be His ambassador to tell people about Him who ”desires all men to be saved and to come to the Savior”.  1 Tim. 2:4. If we become silent, the stones will cry out!
