You may be flattered,
you all may cherish,
yet by and by you will fade away,
Christ though is shining, He´ll never vanish,
His name is sunshine day by day!

You may be blooming,
but like the flowers
you with the gardens to mould will be,
Jesus is living, and He empowers
the dying saints that to Him flee!

You with your singing
joy may be spreading,
silent will be, though, on earth your voice,
but with Christ Jesus to whom we´re heading
we´ll praise Him with "a joyful noise!"

His Name endureth,
and it will ever
shine as the brightest sun God made,
bless Him all people and do endeavor
to give Him thanks for what He´s paid!
