Praise the Lord for  the blessed assurance of His unchanged and undeserved grace in Christ Jesus yesterday, today and forever.  We may sing again:

Yesterday, today and ever
Jesus is the same,
We may change, but Jesus never
Glory to His name!

Maybe you know that one yourself?  This very morning I was refreshed by this precious word from my daily Bible reading:

“I am the Lord, I do not change, therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob!”  (Mal. 3:6).

Yes, we may truly testify to this wonderful truth in our lives.  We are still going on because of His steadfast love and mercy day by day.  Jesus never fails, we would often whisper to ourselves and to each other.

We should also today give more than one thought to Jewish people, the “sons of Jacob” .  Dark shadows will be coming to the point of utter despair one day according to the word of prophecy, but that will be their turning point when “they will look to Me whom they pierced” (Zach. 12:10).  Though now enemies of the gospel, the old covenant of election has not changed, and so they are still “beloved for the sake of the fathers”  (Rom. 11:28).

In light of all that our future is bright amidst the present world crisis.  So let´s lift up our heads and encourage one another as we look for “the redemption of Jerusalem” (Luke 2:38).  – “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth” (Job 19:23).  Glory to His name!
