“He (Herod) asked them where the Christ was to be born. They replied to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea….” (Matthew 2:4-5)
The scribes the Scriptures knew so well, and all they said was right, of Bethlehem they too could tell that silent, holy night!
The scribes, however, did not go despite what they´d just read, the Eastern men, though, were not slow, and God´s bright star them led!
They went by just the light they had and left the clergy crew, the King just born their hearts made glad, and that was all they knew!
Lo, modern scribes may still appear, they solid truth may preach without one single broken tear, and so no hearts they reach!
With those wise men from Eastern land we worship-praises sing, though much we may not understand still Christ we hail as King!
