They are Amelia (7), Anna (5), and Rebecca (2). When our daughter was pregnant with Anna her name was a top secret. The parents’ lips were sealed. So we pumped Amelia (2) who spontaneously exclaimed, “Baby Anna!” We had a good laugh, including the parents!
They’re giggling, laughing, full of beans, put fun into our morning scenes as they with dolls invade our room, thus starts our day in fullest bloom!
Of course, it’s about our grandkid-gems, my Muses of my fond poems, princesses small with curly hair, soon pulling me up from my chair!
The floor is our playing ground, where I’m lion, horse and hound, the girls are lambs I try to “eat”, and they play frightened with their bleat!
They’re seven, five and almost three, so cheerful verses practise we, we use both hands and stamp our feet, some Danish, though, we must repeat!
Such kids do give me much relief from sorrows, heartaches, tears and grief, they are as angels God has sent, with them each moment is well-spent!
