… or as it says in the Danish Bible, “What has now happened,  I let it happen!”  How powerful and gracious this word came to me yesterday, as I was expelled from a Christian (so called!) newspaper´s debate forum.  The language of my testimony was found “insulting”, so out!

“Rejoice and be exceedingly glad”, the Lord says, even though it hurts my “flesh”.  So, by the grace of God, I´m a delivered soul, indeed, and press on along with other “reviled” saints.  I´ve once tried to be expelled in the U.S. and have now the same honor on this side of the pond, and the word of God is thrown into relief (if I may put it that way) as never before!

Why do I say all this?  To encourage you, my fellow pilgrim, who may be in similar circumstances.  I´m not addressing any religious “camp follower” who are conveniently tailored  to the popular machinery of stagey church games, but let God´s word be your strength and comfort in the midst of your troubles or hardships, o suffering friend, for His Name´s sake.

In a few days we´ll pack up for our next “exploits” in the U.S.  How I love that nation as well as my own country (and my wife´s country).  We´re not visiting a “super power” at all.  Its role as the world´s punishing “police patrol” will soon be over.  It will fail in the Middle East too, but the Lord never fails.  His counsel will not fail.  “My counsel shall stand”  (Isa. 46:10), and believe it or not, one day –“in that day  Israel will be one of the three with Egypt and Assyria a blessing in the midst of the land!”  (Isa. 19:24).

So why not already now let us open our heart for the blessings of His kingdom in our hearts – coming what may come!
