Tune:  What a Friend We Have in Jesus….

What a blessing, friends, to gather
unto our Savior´s Name,
born of our heav´nly Father
we in Christ are free from blame,
earthly names have little value,
vain is all their pow´r and charm,
Jesus, our Rock and rescue,
is to deepest wounds our balm!

We our Bibles open gladly
which the Spirit will explain,
always leaning on Him badly,
He with light will us sustain,
Jesus we behold in glory
seated on His Father´s Throne,
precious is this gospel story
which deserves to be made known!

Breaking bread to His remembrance  *)
we look forward to the day,
we shall see Him in His presence,
when He catches us away,
then instead of tears and crying,
joy will fill the bride and groom
to that hope so glorifying
we in worship´s awe give room!
