What's life about? A solemn thought,
it's more than what I feel,
it's Christ and what His blood has bought,
this is my daily meal!

With Christ I died to any law
that binds me as a slave,
that kind of life becomes a bore
and has no power to save!

If any law can justify,
then Christ has died in vain,
my sin I cannot mortify,
its bondage still will reign!

The gospel with its joy and thrill
and its redeeming blood,
true liberty it offer will,
it's all a work of God!

Apart from Christ I will not think,
in me there dwells no good,
His work of which I daily drink
did what I never could!
