”I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground…”  (Isa. 44:3)

On virtue of that Calvary
the day of Pentecost
soon many praising tongues set free
that witnessed to the lost!

They truly feasted on that deed
Christ finished on the tree,
and then they spread the gospel seed,
and so with joy do we!

But not by might, nor any power
the gospel news we preach,
despite this present gloomy hour
the lost we want to reach!

The Pentecost made them aflame
whom Heaven met that day,
for us God wants to do the same
in just His simple way!

O, help me, God, to trust that grace
of Pentecostal dew,
nay, I to You now turn my face
for heav´nly streams anew!
