Tune:  When I saw the cleansing fountain

Through the gloom of Calv´ry´s terror
sounded His triumphant voice,
praise the Lord, it was no error,
“It is finished!” – do rejoice!

Chorus:  Praise and worship, praise and worship,
render to Him in the dust,
at His Throne is grace and mercy,
isn´t Jesus worth our simple trust?

Lo, the curtain of the temple
now was torn in pieces two,
and the earth and rocks did tremble,
when our Savior Satan slew!

“Amen!” did respond the Father,
He was more than satisfied,
sin He did abhor or rather
out of love our Savior died!

At His cross my mouth is silent,
now my hideous sin I see,
not till now I feel repentant
seeing what He did for me!

Now His cross is all my glory,
in His blood is all my plea,
what He did is now my story,
blind I was, but now I see!

With your blindness and your hatred
call upon the risen Christ,
come to Him as lost and wretched,
He for you was sacrificed!
