(Read Genesis chapter 45)

To Joseph from a famine land
one day his brethren came,
that man they did not understand,
but felt remorse and shame!

Their sins committed in the past
outweighed their famine need,
but long their sorrow did not last
as they for grace did plead!

For Joseph now himself made known
with love he all embraced,
his wealth and glory they were shown,
their chairs near him were placed!

What Joseph did, the Lord does too,
his grace outweighs our sins,
He saves and makes us creatures new,
 it all that way begins!

Lo, when to Jesus we are drawn,
we meet but grace and love,
in us a song of praise is borne
to Him enthroned above!
