”This nation is far away from God”, Billy Graham often said in his prime as a young preacher calling the nation to repentance.  I´ve never felt the weight of those words as much as now speaking not only of America, but of my own beloved country also.

As I watched the whole inauguration show yesterday, on Jan. 21, 2013, my heart ached.  The president´s speech was highly praised by all our media people in Denmark, -  his words about his “gay sisters and brothers” not the least.  Our TV commentators couldn´t find enough of superlatives for commending him for such “relieving” words.

I never felt as much a stranger as this time.  The scourge of judgment is coming upon our Western “christian” culture.  The abomination of homosexuality is wrapped up in flowery speech about the rights of “our gay brothers and sisters” while the deluded people in our countries are clapping their small hands.

However, I´m happy to declare too my commitment to my American brothers and sisters who stand on the walls of Zion, as it were, as fellow soldiers for Jesus Christ and His cause at this juncture just before “closing time”.  So in that sense I´m still pro America as never before!

But it will very soon be closing time.  The King is coming!  The hour of our final redemption is drawing near. “Engage in business until I come” (Luke 19:13), - i.e. the Lord´s business, the business of the gospel!  Let this commitment be our spiritual ”inauguration” anew before the King of kings as a new beginning in a New Year for spiritual renewal!
