”O, give me children or I die”, *)
it was the tearful cry
of Rachel as the days went by,
relief found not that sigh!

Her cry is also our need,
for babes born from on high,
for sinners saved with God we plead,
or else we too shall die!

A barren church is little worth
despite its perfect creed,
if she to children gives no birth,
her death is sealed, indeed!

So let us join that woman´s cry,
our heads it low will bend,
but as we Heaven´s Throne draw nigh,
revival He may send!

When souls are saved refreshed we feel,
like downpours everywhere,
revived again is our zeal,
and praises fill the air!

By faith we claim His word anew,
for “latter rain” we thirst,
for nothing less will ever do,
till showers on us burst!
