O, let my heart, too, overflow
with David´s harp and song,
let me my Savior´s sweetness know,
for Him alone I long!

The world is not my true abode,
I´m only passing through
along the narrow pilgrim´s road,
yet full of Heaven´s dew!

My tongue and pen go hand in hand
devoted to the King,
before His countenance I stand
while songs of praise I sing!

His glory and His majesty
I now already see,
a walk with Him in honesty
is full of joy and glee!

My heart is overflowing then,
with Christ I am enthroned,
“He´s fairer than the sons of men”,
His Lordship I have owned!
