“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation….”  (2 Cor. 5:17)

A lad, not happy, came along,
he loved the Lord, but still
he deep inside felt he was wrong,
corrupt and thorough ill!

The friend he went to asked the lad,
“What do you think it means
to be a “new creation” glad
that on the Savior leans?”

He thought he knew that answer too,
“It must be Christ in me!”
“No”, said his friend, “a creature new
you in yourself don´t see!”

“You have to see yourself in Him,
don´t look for Christ in you,
in Him alone you breathe and swim!”
Those words he soon found true.

The youngster´s sadness had to go,
In Christ he now rejoiced!
“Oh yes, of course it must be so”,
that truth he loudly voiced!
