It was a cancer stricken lady at our market place who yesterday gave my little evangelical ”silver coin” that name.  We were sitting together on one of the benches and soon started talking.  As I gave my testimony, I also gave her that lovely ”gospel coin” which is usually well received. 

”I´ll take good care of my lucky penny”, she said and told me that she the next day would be sent to a big hospital in Copenhagen to be treated for leukaemia.  “Oh, you have given my coin a good name”, I said.  “I buy that one”.  Og so I´ve prayed that its gospel words from Joh. 3:16 will bring true joy and happiness to her lost soul.

She laughed heartily when I told her of my talk with the surgeon who operated on my heart at the same hospital she was now going to.  I´d said to him, “If the surgery goes wrong, don´t bother, for it only means my change of address!” 

So may the small coin bring the gospel´s ”luck” to her.  My coin resembles in a way a silver dollar, but it´s much more than that.  Joh. 3:16 is printed on one side and on the other side you read the simple question, ”Where do you want to spend the eternity?”

I never, before a watching world, talk about Christianity, church things, theological issues, etc., but much rather about our Lord Jesus Christ and His trustworthy gospel.  Many years ago I heard Billy Graham say in an interview, ”Not Christianity, but Christ has helped me.”  That´s really my heart in the matter too.
