The Tune:  Amazing Grace…

Thank you, Lord, for Your Gospel news,
that righteousness proclaim
to those who stand without excuse
before Your face in shame!

The righteousness You freely give
as garments white as snow,
explains why we with joy may live,
yet by Your grace brought low!

I can myself identify
with Luther´s quest for peace,
he by God´s Spirit was brought nigh
to Christ with his decease!

The Gift of gifts God does bestow
to souls in deep distress,
to those His grace will richly flow,
and thus His name they bless!

The grace in Christ our secret is
as our cure and hope,
that all the glory may be His,
for endless is its scope!

This gospel never will grow old,
its fullness is the same,
its saving grace has made us bold,
that grace we will proclaim!
