A legalist is not your aim,
that´s not what you should be,
but gospel joy in Jesus´ name
enjoys full liberty!

The “still small voice” is then and there  *)
in secret and alone
the proof that He for you does care
as one of Heaven´s own!

When you at night are kept awake,
the reason then could be
that you should take a quiet brake
in prayerful agony!

The time with Christ in solitude
will make you strong and bold
when you go to the multitude
that should of Him be told!

That secret of your hidden life
God openly will use!
Amidst a world of endless strife
just let the gospelloose!

Oh, tell somebody what you found
when Jesus came your way
and saved you so you could abound
in gladness every day!
