“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”  1 John 1:8

“Behold!  The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  John 1:29

Tune:  Amazing Grace

O, is the gospel truth in you
much more than just a  creed?
Then know the sin is right there, too,
as poisonous, indeed!

By faith, however, I do see
it all was laid on Christ,
His gospel makes my conscience free
through what He sacrificed!

Defiled my “holiness” is still
with sin that cleaves to me,
but I do cleave to Calvary´s hill,
nay, to His cross I flee!

In Him I stand before the Throne,
clean, justified by grace,
for Christ is now my cornerstone
and happy resting place!

In me there dwelleth no good thing
which cannot be improved,
yet I my song of praise may sing,
for Christ my sin removed!

Redeemed before God´s holy face
I´m perfect in His Son,
by faith His gospel I embrace,
and thus I may press on!

We now breathe in a healthy breeze,
the bondage had to go,
His Spirit in us now agrees,
o, what a thrill to know!
