“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.  He is
like a tree planted by water, that sends outs its roots by the stream…” Jer. 17:7-8

At times when you are prone to quit,
when closed is every door
that makes you but a poor misfit,
then trust our Lord ev´n more!

Like Abraham, the man of trust,
go “outside” and look up!  *)
Set free from worldly ties and dust,
God filled with joy his cup!

The pleasures of the world so vain,
the sin deep inside you,
and powers from their dark domain
deceitful harm will do!

This conflict will go on and on,
but you´re not left alone,
what Christ on Calvary has done,
that work count as your own!

The tree near by the river´s side
has leaves so fresh and green,
stand firm you, too, against the tide
calm, peaceful and serene!

Enthroned with Christ far, far above  **)
each obstacle is crossed,
and in you God revives that love
that cares for sinners lost!
